CTIC has launched an informational campaign about the benefits of nutrient management for agricultural operations and for the environment. Through this effort, CTIC aims to not only bring more media attention to the nutrient management efforts of agricultural producers, but also to encourage more farmers to adopt such practices into their operations.
CTIC will feature success stories of farmers who have developed and adopted sound nutrient management strategies - protecting their bottom line as well as local and downstream water quality. These stories will be showcased in our online magazine, Partners, and on this Web site, as well as in national agriculture and general media sources. These positive stories about agriculture are timely when so much attention is focused on the Gulf of Mexico hypoxic zone and agriculture’s contribution to the high nutrient loads in the Mississippi River.
We encourage all CTIC Members to get involved in this important campaign.
